Teething Bites!!

Pun intended!
Rolli got his first two teeth a little over a week ago. They are not all the way in yet, but they are poked through a little. I've been waiting to post this because I wanted a picture of the teeth. Well, the best one I got you can hardly see them. Oh well.
I have gotten a couple small bites and breastfeeding is like a new thing again getting used to the scrape of the teeth, but I mean bites as in this is terrible.
Rolli's fever when he turned 8 months was definitely tooth related. It made me think about how parents would always get frustrated when their child was sent home with a fever and they knew it was just from teething. I remember reading somewhere that teething does not directly cause fevers. Now, I've also read that it does. Cole and I were discussing it leaning towards the yes it does since the tooth is tearing through the gum tissue kind of like injuring your body. Either way that child is miserable and should be with mommy and/or daddy.
Rolli had his fever for a day and a half and boy was it rough going. I'm hoping the rest of them aren't as intense as those first two for him. He was a wreck. Luckily for us it happened on a weekend so he had both parents to soothe him. I'm sure there will be times in the future when I have to get a sub to teach for me due to Rolli having a fever. I'm very grateful that my jobs are so flexible and I have such great supportive teams that I work with. I know this is not the case for everyone. We need to work on the support for people that choose to have a family to be able to have more flexibility with work. Alright, off the soapbox.
I can't believe he has started getting teeth.
It goes insanely too fast.
